About Fortinux
About me
- My name is Marcelo Horacio Fortino, and I am a trainer, facilitator and agile coach based in Barcelona. For over three decades, I have helped organisations in Europe and Latin America to adopt IT governance frameworks (ITIL, COBIT), agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and technical skills in data, Python and DevOps.
- What sets my approach apart is that I don’t limit myself to management theory or technical details in isolation: I design programmes that bring both worlds together, and I support them through team facilitation, individual coaching and long-term mentoring — not just a one-off course that’s forgotten after three months.
- I have trained consultants, managers and technical teams at European and multinational companies, and have delivered courses in Spanish, Italian, Catalan, English and Portuguese, both face-to-face and online.
- I have experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), IT Service Management (ITIL v3/v4/v5, ISO 20000), Project Management (PM2, PMBOK), Data Management (Big Data), Governance, Risk and Compliance (COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001).
- I am the author of the books “Qual a importância do GRC? Governança, Riscos e conformidade nas organizações” in Portuguese; “GNU/Linux Tutorials: Hacking for Beginners”, and the e-book (Jupyter notebook) Introduction to Big Data.
- I hold the following certifications: ITILv3, ITIL4, ITIL5 Bridge, ITSM based on ISO/IEC 20000, Professional Agile Leadership I (PAL I), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I), Professional Scrum Facilitation Skills (PSFS), and SCRUM Fundamentals Certified (SFC).
- I am a member of the PMI and Hispalinux associations.
